My friend and I spent three days in Munising and stayed here. It was very clean, the staff friendly, a surprisingly quiet except for the room doors when guests just let them close on their own. Definitely would stay here again.

Our room was really nice and we enjoyed the in room hot tub tremendously. The atmosphere of the place is warm and inviting too and for a family with children the pool area's waterslide and kiddie pool is awesome! We enjoyed our stay.

Welcome to the AmericInn Lodge and Suites of Munising, MI. Located in beautiful Alger County you will find something for everyone any time of year. The AmericInn is located in Wetmore just 2.5 miles outside of Munising, the Gateway to Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore and the shores of Lake Superior. Hiawatha National Forest is just outside our front doors. Explore Grand Island and the Seney Wildlife Refuge for a rare look at nature at it’s finest. Take a cruise on the Pictured Rocks Cruise Boat to view the majesty of the Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore, or take a trip on the Glass Bottom Shipwreck Tour to see three of the shipwrecks located in the Alger Underwater Preserve. There are miles of hiking and biking trails throughout the parks and forest to explore as well. Visit the many waterfalls in area and don’t forget the lighthouses! There are many opportunities for bird watching, fishing, photography, kayaking, and more! Sandy beaches make for a great places to take the family swimming.Fall boasts beautiful colors and a great time of year to explore the woods. Spring is abundant with the beauty of wildflowers in bloom and the renewal of the forest after a long winterLooking for winter fun? We have that as well. Cross-country ski trails, ice climbing, ice fishing, and dog-sledding are just a few of the silent sports that you can enjoy. Snowmobilers will enjoy the convenience of snowmobiling right from the door of the AmericInn – we have direct trail access and a gas station located just a quarter mile down the road.After a full day of exploring come back to the AmericInn and relax next to the fireplace in our spacious lobby or next to the pool. Enjoy Splash Bay Adventure with our 100-foot figure-8 waterslide, wading pool with toddler slide, whirlpool and sauna. Note: The 100-foot water slide is only open from 8a-10a and 4p-10p daily. Children must be 48 inches tall or able to swim unassisted to ride on the 100-foot waterslide. Other rules and regulations apply.All guest rooms are oversized and have either queen or king size beds for your comfort. Our standard rooms offer two queen beds or an executive suite with a single king bed. We also offer suites. Whirlpool suites include a whirlpool tub in the room, a mini-refrigerator and microwave in the room. Our two room suites have a cozy sitting room with a queen sofa-sleeper, separate bedroom area with a single king bed and mini-refrigerator and microwave. Our master suites also have fireplaces!
